The academic success of our children is implicitly linked to the economic success of our state. While it is important to make sure our youngsters are ready to learn when they arrive in first grade, it is equally important to make sure they graduate from high school.

What is VOICES doing?

• Through the Alabama Kids Count Data Book, VOICES tracks first grade retention rates, graduation rate, and the special education enrollment rate.

• VOICES works with other education advocacy groups in the state to help citizens better understand and support public education.
