Alabama offers one of the nation’s highest quality publicly funded pre-k programs. Most families, however, do not know about the pre-k programs. In fact, fewer than seven percent of children participate. High quality pre-k experiences have been shown to result in greater success in K-12 education and a reduction in many social problems associated with high school dropouts.
