Research
VOICES’ research provides a roadmap for communities and the state to improve the conditions of children so that we can build a better Alabama. In order to address and solve any problem, it must first be measured and documented.
Public Awareness
VOICES communicates the issues revealed through its research as well as proposed public policy/legislation affecting children through its public awareness campaigns. Helping citizens understand what’s at stake and what we can do about it is essential to create change and move Alabama forward.
Advocacy
VOICES speaks on behalf of children at the Alabama Legislature to ensure that state policies are child- and family-friendly. Children will be our work force, consumers, and community leaders of the future. We must protect these valuable resources and create an environment in which all children have a chance to reach their full potential.
Coalitions
VOICES works with other child advocates, non-profit organizations, state agencies, small businesses, and corporate entities to strengthen our collective voice to speak on behalf of Alabama’s children. By working together we not only strengthen our voice but conserve our resources to be as effective as we can be without duplicating efforts.
